Dear Friend:
Memorial Day has always carried deep meaning for me because of someone I loved very much. To me, he was the bravest man I have ever known.
I was once speaking with another daughter of a veteran, and she said something I have never forgotten: “We should not only thank veterans and service members for their service — we should thank them for our freedom.”
Truer words were never spoken.
Today is dedicated to the men and women who served, sacrificed, and gave so much for others.
May we always remember them with gratitude and respect.
Until next time, stay well, stay safe, and stay connected to those you love.
Be well,
Emma
