Staying Active in Simple Ways

April 27, 2026

Dear Friend,

At this stage of life, staying active can look very different than it once did. And that’s not a bad thing—it simply means doing what works for us. Staying active doesn’t have to look the way it once did, and it doesn’t have to mean anything complicated or involve long walks or busy schedules.

Sometimes it’s simply getting up, moving around, and staying engaged in our daily routines—things we may not even think of as “activity,” but that still keep us going. Sometimes it’s not physical at all, but keeping our minds engaged—reading, learning, or simply staying curious about the world around us.

It helps bring a sense of purpose and keeps us feeling connected to our day—something that matters more than we might realize. It doesn’t have to be a lot, and it doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be something. And over time, those small efforts can help us feel stronger, more engaged, and more at ease in our everyday lives.

Until next time, stay well, stay safe, and check on someone if you can.

Be well,

Emma
